Il y a six ans, j'étais déçu d'apprendre que le dernier tome n'allait pas être traduit par l'éditeur français. J'ai fini l'année dernière par me procurer la version originale.

Premièrement, je reste sur mon avis précédent, les couvertures que l'autrice a choisies ne me plaisent pas du tout, je préférais celles des deux premiers tomes avant la réédition.

Concernant l'histoire, on reprend là où nous nous sommes arrêtés dans le volume précédent. Rien à dire de ce côté-là, elle est toujours intéressante avec son univers fait d'humain, d'efrits et de Jinns. Les combats font rage entre Keris, le Nightbringer et Laia, Helene et aussi Elias même si celui-ci tente de rester à son poste dans la forêt pour faire traverser les morts de l'autre côté. Cependant, il est obligé de prendre part à cette guerre d'une part, car de nombreux fantômes manquent à l'appel et donc ne passe pas de l'autre côté de la rivière et de l'autre, car il tient toujours à Laia.

Malgré ça, je reste assez mitigé de ma lecture, certains choix de scénario m'ont agacé, j'ai grincé des dents à plusieurs reprises concernant des personnages. La fin ne me plaît qu'à moitié. Et au final, je me suis dit tout ça pour ça.

Pour conclure, je suis contente d'avoir enfin pu terminer cette série même si j'aurai vraiment aimé un dénouement plus joyeux, je dirais.
